Thinking

What's one danger of testing kids too much?

They stop thinking and start just doing.  They lose the ability to figure things out, because they are prepped so much to remember.   Remembering is good, but thinking is the best of all.

What's thinking?  Figuring things out using your mind, rather than just repeating how someone else did it.

It means, now you're in the good stuff.  And you've got great company.

All the big guys thought HARD.
This year, we have lots of things planned to get you thinking. Stay tuned.
Meanwhile, when you do work, ask yourself, "am I thinking, really thinking, or I am just following a procedure?"

Think.

To get you started, here are some great little things to get the whole family (or class) thinking.

Warning:

Thinking hard feels strange.  It takes time.  You won't feel like you're smart enough.
